This article is a partial analysis of some of the demographic info coming from the poll. Includes a link to the stats so you can add your comments with your own observations.

OEN asks members to provide demographic information when they register. One of the main reasons is so we can see the demographics of poll votes. We keep the information private, but see the patterns. Here's some of what we're seeing from the close to 550 people who voted in this poll (see all the stats yourself here) and keep in mind that a lot of members don't provide their demographic information. If you haven't provided yours, then it is not included here. :
Women are twice as likely 32% to 16% to feel that OEN is going too far criticizing Obama or should back off until after the elections.
(OEN has, like most news sites, more male than female readers, and of those readers, less women answer the demographic questions than men do.)

Agewise, people over 65 feel OEN is tougher on Obama or should back off until after the elections. People under 30 had zero opposition to tough criticism, though the numbers are low.We look at how long a person has been a member because we figure that some people sign up to influence the poll. Those who joined in the past month voted that OEN is too tough on Obama much more than those who have been members over two years.

Radicals and conservatives unanimously think OEN is doing a good job holding Obama's feet to the fire. The comments make it obvious that the conservatives think this is hurting Obama and they like that.

Progressives voted 68% that OEN is on target and 8% OTHER, which seems to be what people selected who felt we were not hard enough on Obama. About 22% of progressives said we were too tough on Obama or should hold off until after the elections. Moderates offered the lowest support for OEN's level of criticism of Obama-- 57%, compared to 33% saying we are too tough or should back off until after the elections.

34% of Democrats think OEN is too tough on Obama or should back off until after the elections and 58% of them feel OEN is doing a good job. Compare that to 74% of the independents who voted in the poll, or 64% of the greens.

Don't forget to do your own analysis of the demographic stats and report your observations and interpretation in the comments.
