Dear Senator,

Your position on the Iran Deal is wrong. Your position is not in the best interests of our country, the United States of America. It is in the interest of many of your largest contributors, people whose primary interest is a foreign country, Israel. This is very unfortunate for my country. This becomes a question of sovereignty. Who controls our foreign policy, a President of the United States who we elected by Americans or the Prime Minister of Israel and his lobbyists?

It is generally understood the "cover" argument of wanting to send the President back for a "better" deal is disingenuous. We know that won't happen. The world has quickly moved beyond the US and Israel's demands. If your goal is to hand a generous gift to China and Russia by stopping this deal, you could not do better. Despite Obama's assurance that we can gather our allies up and force Iranians back is also disingenuous.

Iran wants its frozen money back. Iran could care less if they sell their massive oil and gas reserves to China, India or to the West. China is already building the pipelines and just sold 150 J 10s but you know this.

You also know this isn't about nuclear weapons. It's about containment of a large, educated, soon to be extremely wealthy and powerful Iran.

Israel's position and real value to the US geostrategic forum will be zeroed out. Israel needs us to be their bully; we don't need Israel or Israel's interference in US affairs. Unfortunately for Israel this will happen with or without the US approval of this deal--unless we bomb Iran, which is what Israel and its supporters want and need. Imagine if we actually became allies and friends with Iran?

The rest of the world sees this as a historical opportunity. You and your fellow travelers don't. Sad. Time we begin to disarm Israel as well.
