This is a long but thorough interview, with real insights as to why labeling aspartame as a carcinogen is not only a vital issue in regard to protecting health, but also a vital political issue, in terms of rolling back the evil influence of one of the biggest Neocons of them all, Donald Rumsfeld, who forced the FDA approval for Aspartame in 1981 (the other is Dick Cheney, in my humble opinion).
Just truthfully labeling it as the carcinogen it has always been, by the State of California under Proposition 65, is a major step towards righting some of the worst wrongs existent in our beleaguered world, and certainly, just to start to correct the worst abuses of the regulatory processes that were visited upon Government in the last half of the 20th Century.
The Proposition 65 impetus should be extended to other states under existing statutes, whenever possible, if they don't have the same precise legal machinery allowed under Prop. 65. Gradually, the heavy mantle of Rumsfeld's oppression must be removed, even if only incrementally.
For the startling testimony of New Mexico's most progressive State Senator, Gerald Ortiz y Pino, plus Fox's condensed history of the total regulatory failure inherent in aspartame still being on the market, please also see this important earlier OpEdNews article:
