When hate radio gets too vitriolic for uber-right wingers to appear on without wearing a hood, then it's time for hate radio hosts to pack it up. And after yesterday's rant by Stan Solomon (of The Talk To Solomon Show LIVE), "conservative" guests (social or otherwise) will likely cancel appearances.

And if they don't, they'll eventually chalk up some huge regrets.

Stan Solomon has been known to be to the right of Bryan Fischer (yes, it is possible), so utterances from his program have been categorized as sheer off-the-wall hate: for Obama, for gays, for blacks, for Jews, for ... well, everyone who is not Stan Solomon. He infamously called Barack Obama a "wussy guy who throws a ball like a girl" and who would probably wear drag if he thought he could get away with it.

Huffington Post:

"Calling Savage a "f*ggot" and a "horrible, awful, terrible excuse for a human being," Solomon noted, "I hope he dies -- he probably will -- of every disease known."
He then added, "By the way, I'm sending him a fire hydrant for his birthday, I'm hoping he'll sit on it; he'll slide all the way down to the ground."
It isn't the only eyebrow-raising claim Solomon made during the broadcast. He also slammed slain Florida teen   Trayvon Martin   as "a thug that deserves to be dead."

The Show

Sitting at a desk next to a seemingly inanimate "Chief" Steve Davis (apparently a sidekick who is also running for Congess), Stan Solomon greets guest like Phyllis Schlafly, Alan Keyes, and Gordon Kingenschmitt. His appearance has changed over the years: he now dyes his white hair and has abandoned the sport coat for a Mr. Rogers sweater. And his rhetoric has now come far from his website profile:

Stan Solomon is a proud, first generation American. His multi national and multi racial family is united by their belief in God, country and good. He has talked to and been heard by millions world wide. He has the experience, integrity and guts to speak his mind.

What nations, what race, what planet Solomon admits to being "united with" are mysteries, since he leaves no stone unturned in the hate department. And "good" means wishing people dead.

He also lists his favorite links, some of which should send a caveat to conservative guests:

The American Conservative   Freedom Force International   GCNLive.com   Human Events Online   Insight Magazine   Jewish World Review   The John Birch Society   LifeSite   NewsMax   The Sierra Times   Townhall.com   The Washington Times   WorldNetDaily

He has not yet been told that he cannot enter Great Britain, simply because the "millions world wide" don't seem to have representatives in Great Britain. Maybe this latest foray into extreme hate will get him a warning letter from the Queen no less.

Pawns of Satan

Solomon's chief rant, that all things liberal are idiot pawns of Satan, could smack of Pat Robertson, but even though Robertson has come up with some bizarre modes of demonization (as we have reported lately), he has rarely ever come outright to wish the death of anyone.* The "great qualifier" these days is, in fact, "I don't really hate anyone, I just ..." along with the ubiquitous "some of my best friends are ..."

At least Solomon is honest.

But honesty like Solomon's has to come with a price: if he wore a white robe and hood while he ranted, he could not have been more demonstrably hateful, and conservatives far and wide are trying to steer away from the "hater" sobriquet.

So there it is: any future guest on Solomon's program will be inextricably tied to virulent hatred of just about everyone.

Who will be his next foolhardy guest?

*OK, Hugo Chavez and Ariel Sharon excepted.
