We can all agree that Election 2016 is the strangest horse race we've ever seen.
Now there's a new twist in online politics. Supporters of Bernie Sanders have started to replace their profile pictures with the letter B, a Thumbs Up icon, a picture of a bee, a Bernie meme or a moji. Since it was originally started, the idea has snowballed, with thousands of Bs showing up in less than 24 hours. He's on track to beat the numbers generated by The Obama Girls for "I Got A Crush On Obama" in 2007 and this novel strategy may help send him to the White House. FaceBook experienced temporary grey-outs as it was flooded with likes, shares, and comments. Videos of Sanders on the virtual stump are also growing exponentially, each being shared again and again as Sander's volunteers work to get his message out. Candidate Sanders's straight-forward, no nonsense manner and message are resonating with literally hoards of people. They are reacting. listening, learning, "then passing it on". It just may Rock and Roll the vote.
One cultural analyst commented, "This is a new phenomenon"never seen or done before."
Pundits and talking heads are seen to be at a loss for words. Meanwhile the aether is buzzing with Bs.
