The mismatch between ideological preferences and economic gain is the main threat to Canada's national security.

International politics have changed dramatically recently, creating new challenges for Canada. But is everything as straightforward as it might seem?

The most common misconception is that the upheavals in global politics are associated with Donald Trump. However, this is not true. The world order is being changed by the United States, not by any single individual. This is happening because humanity is on the threshold of a technological breakthrough, and the United States is preparing to lead this process by managing international politics. But Trump's personal ideas are not the cause of these changes. He is simply doing the hard work. The situation is examined in detail in the article "Donald Trump is creating a new world order".(1)

The United States is poised to lead a technological breakthrough because it is the dominant force on the planet. This is largely due to the fact that American politicians Republicans and Democrats can move toward a common goal while pursuing opposing policies. Democrats' outrage at Trump's decisions is part of this policy. The American establishment benefits from distancing itself from Trump because it gives it room to maneuver in international politics. This is clearly demonstrated by the story of Trump and NATO. The article "The surprising truth about Trump and NATO" describes this situation in detail.(2)

In other words, Trump's anti-Canadian statements reflect the United States' displeasure, not his personal displeasure, no matter how much American Democrats may complain. So, the entire US political establishment is displeased with Canada. And this is a more serious problem than Donald Trump's personal displeasure. In this situation, it's important for the Canadian government to correctly assess the level of threat.

But what could be the cause of this discontent? Canada is not compatible with the new world order being built by the United States under Donald Trump. This world order denies the importance of ideology and prioritizes economic expediency. This is because the previous attempt to globalize the world based on a single ideology (democratic) failed. The United States is attempting a second attempt at globalization by abandoning ideology. This topic is covered in the review "Donald Trump's Diaries January 2025-March 2026".(3) The modern United States demands the subordination of its allies' resources despite ideological affinity. In other words, a shared ideology cannot be exchanged for economic benefits. This has become the main reason for the deterioration of US-EU relations. The situation is described in detail in the article "Why the U.S. and Europe Are No Longer Friends".(4) This same reason has also become the basis for the US's rapprochement with Russia. For more details, see the article "Why are the US and Russia becoming friends?"(5)

However, ideology still matters greatly to Canadians, even if that ideology conflicts with economic gain. Canada is under the ideological influence of the EU. However, economically, Canada is dependent on the United States. The discrepancy between ideological preferences and economic gain is the main threat to Canada's national security. Incidentally, a similar situation is observed in Australia. This situation is described in detail in the article "An Unexpected Threat to Australia's National Security".(6) In other words, the United States is attacking not Canada, but the EU's ideological influence in North America. This is because European ideology is opposed to the economic gains of the United States. To be fair, it should be noted that the EU and other countries are also attempting to counterattack the United States. One of the techniques used by foreign states to influence the United States is described in detail in the article "Shooting at White House Correspondents' Dinner is Dirty Geopolitics".(7)

The Canadian government's continued attempts to maintain an ideological stance with the Europeans could have dire consequences. The international situation is developing negatively for the EU. The US is launching Operation Epic Fury to control global oil prices. This is discussed in detail in the article "Epic Fury as It Is: A Look Inside".(8) Once the Americans gain this opportunity, they will begin to strangle the EU economically. This topic is covered in the article "Trump's Two Wars for 'Make America Great Again'". (9)

Canada will have to support its European allies. This means that Canadian ideology will hit the Canadian economy. Is this an effective solution to the national security problem? Yes or no? The answer to this question depends on what is more important to you: ideology or economic well-being.
