I've been tweeting a lot recently, mostly about the Sanders Clinton primary. There is a lot of passion on both sides. Clinton supporters attack Bernie AND his supporters. Bernie supporters attack Clinton and her supporters.
I will often tweet a link to an article or a graphic which shows Hillary Clinton in a negative light to the most popular hashtag for Hillary supporters-- #ImWithHer as well as to the most popular Bernie hashtag #feelthebern.

But I also find articles or tweets to tweet or retweet that I think both Hillary and Sanders supporters will agree on.
There are plenty of issues. Human rights, racism, equality, climate change, anti-bigotry, peace, to name a few.

In the past I might have used the #P2 hashtag, which some use for progressives, a counterpart to the #TCOT top conservatives on twitter hashtag. But I think the hashtags used by Bernie and Hillary supporters are far better for reaching progressives and liberals (Yes, I tend to see Bernie supporters as progressive and Hillary's supporters as more moderate liberals.)
So I've started tweeting using the hashtag ##canweagree along with Hillary and Bernie supporter hashtags when I tweet messages or links that I think are liberal/progressive and not leaning towards one candidate or the other.
I'm writing this article with the hopes that the #CanWeAgree hashtag will be used to find common ground with people who are otherwise on opposite sides of this heated primary.

Yes, we are passionate about our candidate. But we are also passionate about important issues that matter. Let's get together on them and make change happen.
