8pm PT correction: nearly 2 million votes uncounted in all of California - LA County has 410,000 uncounted ballots.
California's passage of Proposition 8 – the same sex marriage ban - is in question. All CA residents are urged to assist in Velvet Revolution's efforts by using the mail to link at bottom of this VR post. Because software is undetectably mutable, all election results that stem from it are questionable. This year alone, numerous reports across the nation show that all of the computerized voting systems in use have failed by:· Switching votes;
· Dropping votes;· Reporting more votes than voters;
· Failing to give the same count when the same ballots were run through the scanners;
Nearly two million ballots remain uncounted in California, yet Prop 8 reportedly passed by 500,000 votes. Officials show bias when reporting passage of a proposition when the outcome is not fully known.

Protests are good for raising public awareness, blowing off steam, and building community. But they will not overturn fraudulent results – only an investigation by serious, honest, intelligent people can do that.The process is simple; you serve as official observers during the hand count audit, taking accurate notes or steady video. Right now, counties are preparing this audit. Training for observation takes about an hour; and we're asking you to commit to at least four hours, but we hope you give substantially more time to this project. It's best to observe with a buddy, so that details aren't missed, but a diligent observer can achieve the same effective oversight. It's also best to bring a video camera and tripod, but accurate, clear, well-written notes can also suffice.
Forward this post to your friends and lists in California;Let's take a look at those reported results;
Together, we can determine the true outcome of Proposition 8.
