It has been said that human beings in this day and age often feel alienated. Why is that? What caused us to be so divorced from life?

When you gaze into the depths of a forest, skim the surface of the ocean, nurse a child or make passionate love, what do you see?

Yourself?

What are we most alienated from in our day and age?

Our Self?

Do you sometimes refer to your Essence as your Nature?

So, isn't your Nature your Self?

To reinforce the importance to what I'm saying, contemplate these poetic lines from one of the Hindu Upanishads:

It is above;

It is below;

It is,

In fact

This entire World.

When one knows this

One knows bliss in the Self

And in all worlds
