Caricature of a tormented, crying Statue of Liberty
In America when the government "alleges" something yet provides no factual evidence or if the "evidence" presented was later found to be false, it's obvious the government was up to something.
That something is making sure a certain "outcome" comes about. In the former "manufacture" a "false flag" event then present it to the public as fact. Get the people to believe it by having the corporate MSM repeat the allegations endlessly. In the latter present "evidence" as factual, beyond reasonable doubt-yet entirely false. Then with a largely incurious public needing any substantiated, factual evidence the "outcome" is fairly easily achieved.
Here are two onerous examples of the untold horror each of the above brought about with "outcomes" the government and its complicit media "achieved" and foisted on the American people.
In 1965 the government "alleged" there was a "Gulf of Tonkin" incident where the North Vietnamese initiated an attack on the "Maddox" and "Turner Joy", two US naval ships patrolling the Tonkin Gulf off the coast of what was then North Vietnam.
The "incident" was portrayed to the Congress as an unprovoked attack. Congress went ahead and approved the "Tonkin Gulf Resolution" authorizing President Lyndon Johnson to respond militarily against North Vietnam, authorized a military draft lottery of new army recruits which Johnson used to expand the war against the Viet Cong guerillas, the North Vietnamese army and the North Vietnamese government of Ho Chi Min.
Prior to the "incident" the American public had been primed with the "Domino Theory", dire tales if South Vietnam fell to the Communists it would spread to Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and beyond.
Thus the "Incident" became the basis for expanding the war.
The problem as we now know there was no "incident". It was all contrived, a ruse. A "false flag" attack that didn't happen. And no factual evidence has ever been presented by the US government to the American people justifying Johnson and the Congress authorizing the expansion of the war.
Yet that contrived "incident" resulted in over 58,000 American military casualties as well as millions of Vietnamese killed in an unnecessary war that never should have been fought.
Then there was the "command" performance by Secretary of State Colin Powell to the UN General Assembly in February, 2003 with "evidence" "alleging" WMD in Saddam Hussein's Iraq.
Powell even used slides of Iraqi trucks carrying "alleged" WMD materials and the "factory" manufacturing them.
At the time Powell's reputation was unsullied of any wrongdoing-undoubtedly the reason he was chosen by the "Dubya" Bush administration who knew Powell would convince Americans of Saddam's villainy.
The only problem as we later found out the "factory" was manufacturing infant baby formula and the trucks were the vehicles transporting it.
But in February, 2003 Powell's charade was considered the real deal and used by Bush to justify invading Iraq in March.
