I suppose you might be one of those people sitting at home wondering what to do. You want to do something. But what? What can you do?
You probably figure you can go work for Obama at campaign headquarters. That will help. It will help us get one step closer to the world we want to live in.
You probably figure you can go to this meeting and that meeting and join this group and support that action. Great. Good. Fantastic.
How about money? What’s your financial situation? Are you on a monthly plan or just a plan to donate money every now and then to some political campaign or to some group like MoveOn.org?
Maybe you’ve given up all hope and you’ve taken all your chips and are planning to walk away from the table. You plan to stop gambling in the game of politics here in America. You’re tired of always being on the side that loses.
So, why not, you say, go out and buy some alcohol, get a lottery ticket, rent some movies or go to the movies, go shopping (it will boost the economy), and sleep so you can be rested up for your next day of work.
If you’re unemployed, well, sorry you don’t have another day of work ahead of you. But, there’s still plenty for you to do because you’re part of a class that war is being waged upon.
All of you who care are probably planning on voting. If it seems like I am taking a long time to get to the point here, I am and it’s because I want to pull you in (the reader) and then keep your attention so I can deliver this crafty point to you.
Our nation needs imaginative and creative organization in the political sphere if we are to seriously make any gains in our favor in the not-so-distant future.
People who are copying and pasting Greg Palast’s information on how the 2008 election has been stolen are using their imagination and creativity to do something very unconventional with the hopes of ensuring that Barack Obama does not lose millions of votes in November. Right?
That’s one example. Here’s another---
Trevor Lyman is the man who organized the Ron Paul money bombs.
One Lyman money bomb raised $4 million in one day.
Another raised $6 million in one day.
