Of course there were differences. Remember slavery, the bloody Civil Rights Movement, and those cases which have still never been resolved. If those that took these polls expected anything different, perhaps their heads were covered in the sand for a very long time where they couldn't see or hear.
Americans would be in total denial if they believed that there were no racial prejudices between races. But they would also be stupid to believe that the Republican Party who started this war, which caused many of you to lose loved ones and friends, who stole from you, caused you to lose your money, was somehow miraculously going to change and give you back what they had taken; it just doesn't work that way. With denial and prejudices running a close race in this country, one has to step aside and throw out prejudice for the moment and look at the greater picture, and ask yourselves who has the better program for America to become the best that she can?
Is it those in the Republican Party of which John McCain is not only a part, but has voted with Bush on 90-95% of his policies, who have brought America where it is today, stripped of its integrity, feet still deeply entrenched in the Iraq war, drowning with continual financial drainage. Now Bush is still trying to sell America down the river even further with this $700 billion dollar bailout in which we would end up paying. That's right, we would pay; you don't think that the rich corporations are going to pay under the Republican plan do you? Well grow up and face facts, the rich always keep their money, getting richer, because they know that the poor working and middle class will always bail them out from the taxes we pay. You might call them the Hooded Robin, the reverse of Robin Hood who stole from the rich giving back to the poor; it's the rich continually stealing from the poor so that they can line their own pockets with more of our money.
You may ask why this is. It's simply because they know that for the last eight years, they have been given carte blanche when it came to tax breaks, and this all came as a result George W. Bush and the Republican Party.
So, America, beware of the wolves and snakes that continually go through metamorphosis tricking the American people; open your eyes, your ears and don't allow them to play on your emotions with this racial prejudice poll tactic that is designed to divide us. America is racially prejudiced, that is already known, what matters is your homes, your jobs, your welfare, your schools and what is best for America despite racial prejudice.
Let's face facts: America has always wanted to be on top, and just like in the major leagues when the American and National league finally dropped their discrimination in order to make money. Why? They knew who would get the job done, they knew that it would also give them a stronger and better team by having the best players – and many of them were and continue to be Black Americans. Those prejudices didn't disappear, but they learned how to work together and be number one. They no longer discriminated against the Black baseball players as they once had. They knew how to get to the top. And so it is in American politics; the Democratic Party knows how to get to the top.
You, too, want the team that can pitch a no hitter, strike out the opposition and hit the home run. When the Republican Party has struck out with your mortgages, struck out with your jobs, struck out with your health insurance, your schools and your money so many times, will you trust them once again to hit a home run when they've put us in last place and their new man is playing by the same old rules, has the same old pitch, has the same policies, as the old pitcher?
America needs a new pitcher and a new a slugger, and that team is Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Put racial prejudices aside just as the major leagues did many years ago when they decided to become the best and have remained the best.
