I am sorry if this seems a little formal but this situation is difficult to explain. But please stick with me because it will explain a very great deal. Basically what I am trying to explain in the article you are about to read is an underlying set of facts which explain a good 20% of otherwise unexplainable policy. A scheme to take over the future world. A huge set of monumental changes have been forced on us and are being forced on us, with attempts to, as Chomsky says, "manufacture consent".
And there has been literally ZERO discussion of them. The beginning of this process was two decades ago, and big chunks of important policy (like health care and education) have already been successfully hijacked and then lied about for twenty years. Since the Clinton Administration.
And even bigger changes are in the pipeline, none of them are good. They will be very destructive if the truth underlying them is not known. Sordid as it is, it needs to eb known. It will make you feel dirty, its so mean spirited and irresponsible.
Bigger changes than I think anybody in the media has contemplated to date. World changing changes, all at the same time. All will likely be negative for US workers but immensely profitable for multinational corporations - and irreversible. they all happen against a backdrop of exponential growth in labor saving technology. Jobs as we know them are going away fast. For all humanity. So, that is the context. We can't predict the future and we shouldnt even try, let alone should we try to lock in policy that doesnt work.
This situation I feel has been lurking behind this entire election. Changing policy. Making Trump go on about immigration and Clinton pretend to be the best friend of women and non-white Americans. Neither is being honest. neither means what they are saying. This global con is what's behind both candidates spin. Hopefully by the end of this article things will be a bit less confusing. Think of the politicians as master con artists. Truly world class, record breaking con artists. Its the biggest shell game ever.
Let me frame it also as a plea to all to better inform ourselves on an obscure area of policy, trade in services agreements and their conflict with our nation's economic health and future. Once we inform ourselves then we have to demand that this end run around democracy be modified so as not to steal democracy's ability to function.
Services, basically are most of the economy of any modern nation. Defined famously as "everything you cannot drop on your foot".
Trade in services agreements' hidden constraints are an unseen hand frustrating a great many policy needs of our nation today. They the policy space available to our nation, with the inevitable result that it will become impossible for anything resembling democracy to function in the future. Everything of economic importance will be locked in a vise they are now creating, to replace the GATS vise which they never told us about which largely failed (although it succeeded in hijacking policy HERE, as we had to obey our own hidden ideology.) For example, it blocks all of Bernie Sanders and Jill Steins platform. So they were never expected to win. Did they even know? Sanders likely did. he should have exposed them.
So, the candidates never ending drama are superficial attempts to prevent any real conversation about this global scheme from ever happening. And in 2008, to prevent any real discussion of healthcare reform. And so far, its been working.
What am I talking about? Its difficult to just spell out (the truth is uniquely unpleasant thing to tell people, as it requires re-calibration of ones world view in many cases) but its not impossible to explain in the following manner- Take a look at these links which give a beginning look into some of the issues at play, "services liberalisation" from several perspectives, and the clash between affordable health care and trade in services agreements, in this case the articles focus on the GATS.
