One Russian poet said that there is one person you had never seen, only his reflection. That's yourself. Our US media people should be advised to look at their reflections from time to time. By reflections I mean the media people (and their product) of the so-called new democracies- the countries which are officially our followers, the new darlings of predatory capitalism, democracy and human rights" Amen, cha- cha-cha.
Russian media is one of the most interesting reflections because they think that they have a special mission- to cure Russian people from the "Soviet' legacy; that is to purge them from the embedded values of sharing, empathy, compassion, consideration of the common good, disgust with thievery, etc. Apparently those folks in the current Russian media consider that they have learned the proper attitude from ours and are all eager to prove their prowess: their writings are boring, very ignorant, full of malice and totally out of phase with any reality. Reflection, you know.
One of the so-called columnists on the official Russian media site came out once with the revelation. He wrote a column about us, people being wolves.
According to that wizard the main problem of Russian people is empathy. They feel uneasy when taking money from someone else, pursuing selfish profits or seeing other people visibly suffer from the results of their actions. That, according to him is a cardinal vice attributed to the passive life of the socialist past. He encourages the new generation of Russians to embrace their inner wolfish character. He preaches that it is normal for all people to be wolfish towards each other and that is what should be expected. Everyone is for thyself. Selfishness is terrific. Greed is good (as if he watched Wall Street movie twenty times). Do not feel guilty of anything; if people whose lives you have destroyed complain, it is because they are sore losers. You are the King. Take whatever you can. Take everything. If you want to succeed look in the mirror at yourself in the morning and bare your fangs. Then smile at yourself. You are terrific.
I am not kidding, that's what they write. See, our followers in other countries are not Lutherans. They do not have the legacy of hypocrisy which we have here and which helps our predatory ideologues to conceal their fangs under the smirks. They are in a hurry to get into the game. Life is short and they have less opportunities and less wealth to play with. So for them it is as good as it gets; the big teacher in the US formulates the principles and the howling puppies in Russia are ready to squeal. The have no fangs, they have no teeth even but they are anxious to become wolves, eager to learn and to throw away all those unnecessary vices of humanity their parents had fought and died for. They are not a generation X or Y. They are a generation W (look at our W for a moment) and they think they are the salt of the Universe.
That's their message to us. And here's is the answer: If you are a wolf you will be shot from the helicopter for fun. You will not be able to bare your fangs, you, stupid bastard. Big guys in powerful machines will spot you on the ground, chase you, harass you and shoot you so that they could skin you and then show that skin as a trophy. That's what we do to ignorant idiots all over the world, whenever we can inject our spiritual poison that makes people voluntarily to abandon their humanity and become wolves. Yes, that's real fun: first you become a wolf because you think you will hunt someone but in reality you become a prey and then we come with guns and helicopters and shoot you for fun. See, we can't do that to humans. It is not fashionable to shoot humans. But as for wolves- no problem here. So, good luck, my dear apt pupils whether in Russia, China, Vietnam or Albania. Good luck with your transformation. We are ready. Our helicopters are powerful, our guns are terrific, our ammo is deadly. There is a new market consisting of numerous rich folks bored to death and eager to entertain themselves in a hunt. You wanted it. Here it comes.
