2,750 000 000 000

by John Kendall Hawkins

Two trillion seven hundred fifty billion dega dollars.

That's my budget for reparations to the colored peoples

of America (yellows, browns, reds, blacks -- the whole panoply).

Worked it out on my own, no assistance was needed. Mind you,

I'm woke to the fact wealth is dangerous to democracy,

like Barry told us, sweet as old, at the DNC Combine.

Now, there's a man knows sugar, who tossed away the safety net

to bail out our morbidly obese white porkers, with a TARP;

banks lost money betting Black people couldn't pay their mortgages;

and, after office, O was paid 400,000 per speech,

and so he knows wealth can be a trap, and we believed again.

Naturally, Kamala will have to be controlled by Barry;

right now, she's takes his advice to beam like Miss America,

stay away from divisive issues: no talk of Palestine;

social safety net? unh-uh; rapprochement? nowhere and no way.

Just smile girl like Hillary used to do and call Trump crazy.

So yeah, two trillion seven hundred fifty billion dollars.

I mean, it ain't much; it ain't the right amount, but it's a start.

Works out, we'll helicopter in, drop palettes of fresh Benjies

down on the masses of color beneath us, Richard Wagner.

Catch? Of course there's a catch. It's not real money, just phony cheese.

Coloreds will have to rake it up and bring it to be redeemed.

So, yes, it is another jobs program, but the cheese is changed

to real cash, like we figured out how to do with food stamps (wink),

which you weren't spose to use for ciggies or booze. Yeah, right: F*ck You.

But it's okay if Mighty Whitey goes single malt and smokes

Cubans in celebration of begrudged legislation, right?

Now, hear, two trillion seven hundred fifty billion dollars

is a lot of money, but at the same time it isn't. No.

After 9/11, after the three buildings come down fast

-- I mean, so fast you couldn't believe your eyes: Hep me, hep me,

the sound everywhere, like the birth of MAGA (Caesarian?) --

and the surveillance state went up so fast, terrorist jihads

around every corner, lurking in every algorhythm,

our way of life under siege by god knows what -- hep me, hep me --

we answered pavlov's bell for war and blew up sh*t everywhere.

My point is Brown University said we spent 8 trillion

on revenge wars in the 20 years after the pearl harbor;

we gained nothing; just threw those palettes of fresh dollars away.

Money we could have thrown away more wisely over ghettoes,

maybe dumped a whole palette on Rodney King's complaining ass:

Jeah, motherfukka, we can get along. You under that pile?

We could make it a white contest: hit the n word with money;

laugh like we on that chopper in Iraq mowing down civvies,

another dexxie-drive crime in the war on poverty.

Well, I'm glad you axed. How did I reach that repairing figure?

Simple math. Start with 400 years, let's say. A buck a day.

50 million African Americans want to get paid.

400 times 365, hmm, let me see now

= 146, 000 days of slave labor

(I assume that slavery continues, what with Sally Mae

and the prison labor schemes that Angela Davis writes of.)

That's $146,000 dollars raw, but adjust

for inflation and you get that sum that is in my title.

It can be further adjusted, of course, that is up to you.

But if we intend to f*ck with the weather to run from change,

then let's seed the clouds with cash, too, and let it rain on down.

#####

An aside.

Is it me or did RFK, Jr. just have a brain fart --

endorsing Trump after he was almost assassinated?

Kamala will win in a landslide, and then we can redux

the Civil War. Why else 400,000,000 guns on the loose?
