"He'd better..." Grassley Snarls About Obama...Wouldn't Fly at This Redneck's Keg Party

Republican Senators have the support of 20 percent of Americans, yet they have showed up to Congress like a small contingent of elitist frat boys intruding on a party where they don't belong and trying to pick a fight. Think whatever you want about rednecks, at least they have codes of honor and principles. If Senator Chuck Grassley showed up to any redneck party I've ever been to and started getting in the face of the host with threats and the support of only a handful of people out of the 80 or so friends of the host, he would get his ass kicked.

Consider his behavior over the last couple of days. Consider the recent nastiness and disrespect toward Obama on the issue of health care. Grassley was caught by the New York Times in their article, "Obama to Forge a Greater Role on Health Care," and on the Huffington Post in "Grassley: Obama's "Got Nerve..." snarling orders to, and attacking, the President.

In the New York Times, Grassley spends the entire article dictating that Obama strike a "bi-partisan" compromise six months after Obama and the Democratic Party routed Republicans in the last election.

Grassley sums up his arrogance and disrespect for the American people and the President of the United States with this comment: "He is doing good by staying out of [the legislative process on health care] as much as he is. He'd better use kid gloves at the start.

Was that a threat? Or simply poor judgment on Senator Grassley's part to consider it his place to advise the President?

Next, the Huffington Post reports that Senator Grassley used Twitter to send a beligerent message, the type the rogue dictator and leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Il, is known for: "Pres Obama you got nerve while u sightseeing in Paris to tell us 'time to deliver' on health care. We still on skedul/even workinWKEND(sic)."

We have no place for Republicans threatening the President of the United States or acting like dictators in the face of fierce public opposition to the Republican Party.

The arrogance and entitlement of Grassley's comments indicates the elitism of the Republican Party.

Republicans have 20 percent approval from the American people. If you were at a keg party with 40 red necks and only eight of them had your back, while the rest of them wanted to kick your ass, you might want to think twice before you start telling the host how to light his bonfire or where and how to shoot his gun.

But here is Senator Grassley, one too many beers down the hatch, getting right up into the President's face and telling him how to behave. It's too bad it isn't a red neck keg party because our 80 percent would probably beat the pants out of Grassley and then doodle all over his freedom hating face with permanent marker.

However, Grassley acts cocky because included among his eight friends at this party are Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and special interest funders whose Country Club entitlement and arrogance has led them to believe they are invincible.

Here is a picture of Grassley's friends standing behind President Obama. Think of how a child would look if they stood behind the President of the United States. They would be grinning ear-to-ear. They would be proud and happy. What an honor, right? These guys look like they have better things to do. (Especially the one directly to the right of President Obama. Look at his face. That is the face of pure hatred, contempt, dissatisfaction and evil. Think of him when you think of your opposition. Look at his beady little eyes. He is plotting against America.)

These are the elitists who have no respect for the President of the United States. They are not afraid of all the talk of health care reform because they are confident-as-hell that it will never happen. They have millions to spend on politicians like Grassley and sellouts like Democratic Senator Ben "the public plan wins the game, [so I won't support it]" Nelson.

Where are the Democrats to call out Grassley for his derissive and threatening words to the President of the United States of America? Why must it always fall on the great Ed Schultz or Keith Olbermann to call out American traitors like Grassley? Spineless are the meek and silent.
