Former Kentucky Senate candidate and 30-year business veteran, Kathy Groob, has just launched a new women’s political blog / website dedicated to electing women to public office.

Elect Women Magazine at Electwomen.com is the first independent, comprehensive magazine-style blog / website that offers women running for office a place to obtain resources, links to training, workshops, books and advice, statistics and the opportunity to blog or e-mail questions.

Women face a unique set of challenges balancing family and career, particularly when adding elected public service to the mix.

Elected women and those who have run for office provide the blog posts sharing their stories, their advice, and resources for making the decision to run for public office, how to get there and how to be successful. Women with and without experience can blog in - ask questions, offer advice and share information.

An assemblage of women candidates and elected officials share their stories and answer questions.  These women have run for public office —some have been successful and some have lost their campaigns but gained a great deal of experience in the process.

Groob says, “The site is women to women; people who have been through the process will be helping those just beginning the journey.”
