Barack Obama, the US president, met with Hu Jintao, his Chinese counterpart, in London on Thursday ahead of the G20 summit and agreed to "strengthen ties at all levels".
The talks will see the regularly scheduled meetings between Chinese and US officials cut from twice to once a year, but will expand their scope beyond purely economic issues. |
