Tony Blair doesn't want to go out with a whimper. Blair is to meet with President Bush in DC tomorrow, his last official visit to the White House. His plan is to persuade Bush to sign on to a plan to fight climate change by including pollution offenders in the folds of an international partnership. The G8 summit is scheduled for next month and Blair won't be there to keep Bush on script. Will the poodle turn into a watchdog? |
