Last Sunday, Tzipi Livni took part in the lighting of Hanukka candles at the Western Wall. At the ceremony she declared that "Israel's sovereignty in this location, in Jerusalem, is an expression of the historic link between a nation and its land ... this place, to which we are connected from the depths of our souls, will remain under Israel's sovereignty for eternity." Livni needs no reminding that any agreement with the Palestinians entails a division of Jerusalem, without which there will be no agreement. Thus, when Livni flirts with her imaginary voters by dropping hints of a unified Jerusalem she is lying to them.
