Piarroux led the team that tracked Haiti's cholera to the Nepalese MINUSTAH in October 2010. They concluded that there must have been some very sick U.N. soldiers on the base. Piarroux argues that Haiti's cholera can be eradicated with vigilence, good waste treatment, and clean drinking and suggests that the U.N. should pay the bill for this.
