Today, not just in the US, but across Europe and the rest of the industrialized world, governments are slashing budgets for social programs and the arts, all the while refusing to add one penny of tax for the upper crust. Meanwhile, decades of materialism and out-of control capitalism have given kids the message that money is all that matters. The riots in the UK are a wake-up call for all of us- we need to turn from greed and materialism and embrace spiritual values.
