So, millions of dollars are about to be spent on new voting machines that received a cursory study and which counties will have to live with for years to come.
To force this outcome before counties -- and voters -- are fully prepared would be reckless. The means by which free citizens exercise a precious right must not be infringed.
Ensuring this right is upheld should not be compromised by a federal deadline. |
