US sentences anti-war activists to jail

Fourteen anti-war protesters have been found guilty of trespassing for a 2009 protest in Nevada against US military drone attacks deployed from the Creech Air Force Base. As someone might trespass onto private property to save a child from a burning building, they said they were trying to stop drone warfare from killing civilians thousands of miles away in Afghanistan. The US military is increasing the use of deadly Reaper drones to hunt and kill alleged Taliban targets by remote control from a base in Nevada.
