Shortly after the "Supreme Court Partisan Five" stole the election for Bush in 2000, Tom Daschle struck a deal with the Texas transition team.
The deal went something like this: the Democrats in the Senate would not contest Bush's selection by the Supreme Court as President of the United States and they wouldn't filibuster his cabinet appointments. In return, the Democrats would get the right to weigh in on Supreme Court appointments and contest any that they thought were too extreme. [Deals made in the bowels of Congress by Dems is the biggest "I won't come in your mouth, check is in the mail, butt f*ck ever delivered by elected officials so afraid of fighting for right and losing power that they readily became participants in their own -- and the country's demise. If you served in this government anytime prior to tomorrow's delivery of the Bush Doctrine of Presidential Constitutional Pre-emption, you probably don't deserve to ever serve it again...unless perhaps your name is John Conyers.
