The Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine was run with two protocols. One produced a 70% success rate and the other produced a 90% success rate.

It can be stored at normal temperatures and is cheap enough, at $2 or $3 for the developing world, costing 1/5 to 1/10 of what the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines will cost. And it ill be possible to roll out production of massive quantities relatively soon-- enough supply to inoculate two billion people by the end of 2020.

Perhaps most significant is it is not based on the so-far never-tried on a wide scale, entirely novel  mRNA vaccines, which people like Robert Kennedy have advised to avoid at any cost. This vaccine is older viral vector vaccine.
