The linked opinion mentions a Democrats’ closing argument to voters, which I agree with!

I suggest the Democrats go on the offensive by highlighting some of the 2022 Inflation Causes Stemming Trumps 2017 Tax Cut & Jobs Act.

Corporate tax cuts are intended to incentivize the maximization of profits. With this 40 % drop in tax rates, corporations had a much greater incentive to price gouge exiting the pandemic than if were 35% instead of 21%

The cut in corporate tax rates, also incentivize corporation to buy back their own stock, pushing share prices higher. This put billions of dollars of discretionary spending power in the hands of stock-holding consumers, driving prices higher for all consumers than they would have otherwise been without these corporate tax cut.
