US Navy sends EA-18G Growler electronic warfare fighters to Germany
The Growlers are joining US Air Force F-35A fighters already deployed to the Spangdahlem Air Base. USAF personnel from the active duty 388th and Reserve 419th Fighter Wing arrived in Germany on February 16, from where they are conducting operations in the Baltic and Black Sea regions.
Note: The deployment is eight days ahead of the Russian Special Military Operation of February 24th 2022, in Ukraine. The Pentagon is renting to the Germans, US 240 soldiers comprised of air crew, aircraft maintainers, and pilots.
