Trump tweeted on Thursday morning to ask the Senate Intelligence Committee, which is investigating Trump's possible collusion with Russia in the 2016 election, to instead look into "Fake News Networks." He tweeted, "Why Isn't the Senate Intel Committee looking into the Fake News Networks in OUR country to see why so much of our news is just made up-FAKE!" Trump's tweet continues a media offensive that began Wednesday morning when NBC News reported that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson had called Trump a "moron" over the summer. Tillerson did not explicitly deny having called him a moron. Instead, he dismissed the report as "nonsense" that he would not address.
