Joe Biden's daughter said in an interview that the former vice president is considering a 2020 run against Donald Trump. Biden would present several problems for Donald Trump. Biden is beloved by the Democratic Party. It is not difficult to imagine the party unifying behind him quickly. It is rumored that when Biden was considering running in 2016, he had Sen. Elizabeth Warren in mind as his running mate. A Biden/Warren ticket would bring all parts of the left together under one big tent. The former vice president has the blue collar and middle-class sensibilities that Trump sells but doesn’t really believe in. A Biden nomination would bring former President Barack Obama back into national politics, and reenergize the Obama coalition in a way that has been missing in the Democratic Party since 2012.
