Nancy Kaffer, writing for the Detroit Free Press, assesses the failure of School Choice in Detroit.Charters, like public schools, underfunded. Chronic equipment & material shortages, 100-plus teacher shortage, with another 260 vacancies filled permanently by substitute teachers, a staff absence means no subs are available. So classes double up  Large classes. Teacher shortage but   good news for billionaire ...itheir taxes stay low instead of funding good schools for all students.
