Republicans aren’t happy unless they have somebody to blame. For something. For anything. There has to be an “Other” and it/they has to be the scapegoat for all society’s ills and even a bunch of problems that don’t actually exist. A political party has to be about more than hating people, and blaming people. And that’s all the GOP is these days. Opposition to Obama. Opposition to gay people. Opposition to feminism. Opposition to Muslims. Opposition to Atheists.
