“The charter industry seems to have a stranglehold on the federal politicians. Those great leaders, who founded the common school system, never envisioned that government would become the enemy of the real public school system. Federal government adds $333 million to $3 billion already spent to expand the failed charter industry. The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) provided a variety of weapons to discredit and punish the public system.The feds have appropriated $3 billion to promote the charterization of the public system; in spite of the corruption and racketeering in the charter industry and its dubious performance, the feds have put an additional $333 million in Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) for 2016 to further expand the industry."
