MIT Scientist on Statin Drugs
(Despite soothsaying pontifications by the Mayo Clinic and many manufacturers)
Statins are the drug of choice for heart health, but evidence indicates that these drugs are not the miracle medicines they’ve been made out to be. Research has shown that statins pose a threat to heart health and are linked to an increase in arterial calcification.
Statins have been linked to an array of other unwanted side effects, including memory loss and diabetes. Research has shown the “benefits” of these drugs have been wildly overstated, with scientists declaring statins have “failed to substantially improve cardiovascular outcomes.”
Statistical manipulation and sales tactics are the cornerstones of the pharmaceutical industry; statins are no different. Big Pharma may call their creation a miracle drug, but its still the same industry that created the opioid epidemic.
