With parts available at Lowes and Home Depot skilled volunteers may be able to help bridge the gap in life-saving technology against the coronavirus. Plentiful, cheap components such as air-tight PVC water pipes and lawn-sprinkler valves were used to make an open-source ventilator that is expected to be publicly available in a matter of days.
