There’s a great way for Donald Trump to grab the high road in this presidential race. All he has to do is announce he’s going to pay for the campaign himself.
Sure, we’re talking about more than a billion dollars. But the man is superrich, right? And he did say he was going to do it. (“I’m self-funding my campaign. I’m not taking all of this blood money.”)
Doesn’t matter if it’s hard. Doesn’t matter if it’s a simple-minded idea. Simple-minded ideas are what Donald Trump is all about. People, the next time you hear him brag about his incredible, unique, no-Washington-insiders campaign, feel free to yell back:
Show me the money.
