President Obama gave a very impassioned speech at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Dinner last night, outright mocking Donald Trump and declaring it would be a “personal insult” to him if the black community does not come out to vote in the election. He started out his speech by joking that he’s “relived that the whole birther thing is over” before his term is up, dryly saying, “In other breaking news, the world is round, not flat.” Obama really went off on the idea that there are voters who are apathetic about the choice in November––”hope is on the ballot, and fear is on the ballot too”––and he said: “I will consider it a personal insult, an insult to my legacy, if this community lets down its guard and fails to activate itself in this election! You wanna give me a good sendoff? Go vote!”
