Nearly Half of Sanders Supporters Say They'll Refuse to Support Clinton in the General Election

Despite attempts by establishment Democrats to unify the party ahead of the general election, an astonishing poll out today by Bloomberg Politics shows almost half of Bernie Sanders supporters say they would not support Hillary Clinton in the general election. Fifty-five percent of voters who supported Sanders in the primary say they’ll vote for the former Secretary of State, while over a fifth—22 percent—of Sanders supporters claim they will cast their ballot for Republican nominee Donald Trump. Eighteen percent say they plan to vote for the Libertarian choice, Gary Johnson.
