There's some amount of hope for the future of unionization here in the United States, ironically because the covid epidemic sent so many workers home and now they don't want to return to ridiculously low wages. This morning I passed a Bob Evans restaurant whose front sign advertised that help was needed at great wages. People are in no hurry to go back. When I expressed optimism that some states have raised the minimum wage to $15, a colleague asked, Who can live on that?
