If a bad system will be beat a good person every time what can we do? We have to focus not on trying harder within the current system but on changing the system so that success is built into the system.
The primary system of the Democratic Party most needing of change is the elimination of both the Closed Primary and the Superdelegate schemes.
These schemes are solely to protect the power of the party machine, which has done little to get money out of politics. In fact, the linked article points to corporate donations as the political reality justifying the nomination of machine candidates. Why should taxpayer money fund undemocratic primaries?
