How Capitalist Utopia Became Everyone Else's Dystopia

This article begins by comparing two graphs--1) the history of the top 1% vs the bottom 50% national income shares from 1980 through 2016 for the US and 2) the same dat for Western Europe. The data for the US is not surprising, but that for Western Europe is vastly different. Ours shows disaster for the bottom 50%, while theirs shows a stable and reasonable division.
