This letter to the editor in the St. Louis Post Dispatch laments the Missouri legislature's latest failure to expand Medicaid even though the state's voters approved it and there is already sufficient revenue from taxes to pay for it. It points to a GOP reliance on a strict anti-government stance and a fervent belief that markets can do the governing for them as nothing more than a way to avoid doing the hard work of governing.
