From Shaun King: Another one of our ACTION STEPS for The Breakdown podcast just succeeded! 1000's called and emailed Governor Bill Lee of Tennessee demanding that he call on Speaker of the House Glen Casada to resign. Glen Casada literally tried to frame a Black Lives Matter activist for a crime he didn't commit by falsifying evidence. Efforts caused the staffer that falsified the evidence to resign. That was our first action step victory.
Then 1000's called the Governor's Office to demand that Casada resign after we learned we learned of incident after incident of abuse from his office. Republican Governor Lee stayed silent and said nothing...UNTIL TONIGHT. Moments ago he just announced that if the Speaker doesn't resign, that he will call a Special Session to make it happen.
