Human rights lawyer Inder Comar sums up the lessons of the attack on Syria: The US president is no a dictator; 2) the UN system of "collective security" has failed; 3) perpetual war and imperialism are the open and intended bi-partisan purpose of all major government and economic institutions, including the mass meda; 4) there are almost no prominent voices in the US today advocating a peacetime economy and an end to imperialism, or anything other than empire.
