Elizabeth Warren offered a moving tribute Thursday to her Air Force combat veteran brother who died of coronavirus in an Oklahoma hospital. Like hundreds of thousands of Americans in the coronavirus crisis, Warren had to keep track of her brother’s losing battle with the deadly virus from afar. The highly contagious virus has forced most hospitals and nursing homes to scrap visits from relatives and friends to prevent further spread of the pandemic. She eloquently gave voice to a new generation of mourners who have been robbed of the chance to say their last good-byes to loved ones in person or even gather for a funeral. “It’s hard to know that there was no family to hold his hand or to say ‘I love you’ one more time,” Warren wrote. “And no funeral for those of us who loved him to hold each other close. I’ll miss you dearly my brother.”
