I've been thinking about this article ever since I read it in Esquire over 35 years ago. It's just about the best essay on how women view men I've ever seen. Although some aspects of the piece are clearly dated (such as the references to the women's movement and "sexual revolution"), I think it remains as remarkably astute, perceptive and candid as ever.
