Mind blowing. Having taught my first three years in probably the richest elementary school in the world (on the "Gold Coast" of Long Island), I would point out that these kids would have been in the top 1%, in terms of intelligence. So much for the "charter school" argument, and I reiterate the main platform from my failed run for Senate: "Put kids first."
