Diaz-Balart, 58 experienced symptoms Saturday night after voting with 400+ lawmakers on a coronavirus response package. He will self-quarantine in D.C. out of concern for his wife in Florida, who has an existing condition and would be “at exceptionally high risk.” McAdams, 45, said his mild symptoms began Saturday night after he returned to Utah.

“I developed a fever, a dry cough and labored breathing and I remained self-quarantined,“ said McAdams. “On Tuesday, my doctor instructed me to get tested for COVID-19 and following his referral, I tested positive.”

3 other members of Congress will self-quarantine after they had contact with the two lawmakers. Republican minority whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana, 54, will self-quarantine since he had an “extended meeting” with Diaz-Balart. Rep. Drew Ferguson (R-GA) and Ann Wagner (R-MO) will self quarantine.will self quarantine.
