Supporting and rewarding the best., as the Newark negotiation, in this article sells as the answer, is blarney... not that this is somehow a bad idea,! It's the issue of 'criteria' that makes this bogus.

The entire national conversation about evaluation is a deception which avoids pointing the finger at the real culprits who do not support the classroom teacher.
Four of the New Standards criteria for learning were for THE ADMINISTRATION!Learning cannot take place without this, but then have you heard BOO about the real NEW STANDARDS?

Teachers are forced to follow anti-learning curricula, and mandates that make teaching and learning impossible!

Has anyone writing about education actually read the research? Standardized tests were never part of it, and yet, this has never been debunked, and the conversation was turned from evaluating student to evaluation od teachers!
