I am filled with wonder these days.
Recently, I came to the Diary section of OEN to check out how the Views were going for my open thoughts on my recent vaccine injection with Novovax. In the entry, I noted that I'd followed the progress of the vaccine development process keenly since the early summer of 2020, as I looked into more detail about DARPA's Pandemic Prevention Program (P3) involvement. Turns out DARPA has been trying to create a system -- ostensibly for battlefield exposure -- that can respond to any known virus or novel virus within 60 days of the receipt of antibodies from a survivor. DARPA had teamed up with universities and biolabs to be ready in case a pandemic should happen. They were even wargaming a pandemic in the year before the current crisis emerged. I communicated with DARPA a few times and with Abcellera, a Canadian biolab, which received the first US Covid antibodies on Feb 25 ad began immediately putting to the test DARPA's mission of getting to maret a solution to Covid within 60 days. Abcellera came up with not a vaccine but a monoclonal solution with limited range at first.
All of this is preface to other information that I gathered afterward. I noted to myself that the monoclonal solution and its further quick development seemed like the best way forward given the nature of the solution and its relation to the "dosed" person, who creates his own antibodies. DARPA confirmed that such an approach, because it was re-doable, could be ideal for being the main treatment while a vaccine was developed over what could be years (4 years had been the previous shortest time), but hen, starting in November 2020, after the election, vaccines started dropping out of the sky in a totally unprecedented way. Why? Sure, there and are serious technological breakthroughs at work. But the main reason so many vaccines were suddenly on the market is because the government had used Emergency powers to limit the liability of Big Pharma's releases of vaccines. Norma testing time schedules were significantly cut down from many years to months by skipping the usual steps. The NYT had an interactive piece in August 2020 that guided the reader through the near impossibility of producing a viable and certifiably safe vaccine in less than four years. The piece was meant to discredit Trump's assertions that a vaccine would be ready (Operation Warp Speed) by October Surprise time, just before the election.
So.....
Though reluctant to take any vaccine that hadn't been fully vetted over the normal course of such trials, because one COULDN'T be assured that they were safe -- they were released under emergency. Many benefits, many helped with them, but still unknown blowback ahead for the shortcuts. I made it clear in my diary entry that I had been pressured by family to take a vaccine, because I'm in a high risk category, and, even though I don't go out much and live surburban, I could catch Covid and be doners. So I went with Novovax. I'm still alive.
So....
When I went back to check on my Views there was a banner note that said my entry had drawn the wrath of Google and that no ad revenue could be generated by it. I still don't why specifically, as I received no information from Google, nor any specifics from OEN. But I was invited to donate to OEN in order to get around the ban.
More recently a Google Soft Censorship banner has been pasted to the home page of OEN telling us all that essentially the contents of OEN are being flipped ff by Google. I want to assume that OEN is doing the legals to stp such censorship (appeals, what not), but no specifics are forthcoming. The situation deserves an extended up-to-date article, as it is of public interest.
What's happening seems to be as Glen Greenwald described it a while back as an attempt by the Big Social Media to puch out independent publications by depriving the of money to operate. If this is the case, we need to band together and fight back with words ASAP.
